Dance Alive! - Day of the Dead Dance

Friday, November 2, 2012 - 8:00pm
Event Description:

Co-hosted by KD McComb and Lloyd Barde aka DJ Heartbeat!
A dance movement event honoring the ancestors, to dance, to pray, rejoice & remember... with KD McComb leading the entry dance, prayer circle and offerings to the altar, and a series of rhythmic musical waves mixed by DJ HEARTBEAT that feature the music of artists who have passed and left their music as gifts for us all -- to dance in celebration of Life! Please bring mementos, stories and photos of dear ones to place on our community altar. We are very excited to offer this evening ... and invite you to also bring your hearts, your toes, your bones, your spirit... to pray, rejoice & remember...
8:00-8:15pm -- Prayer Circle, offerings to the altar
8:15-9:00pm -- Enter the Opening through Movement with KD
9:00-11:00pm -- Waves of Rhythm w/DJ Heartbeat -- featuring artists who have passed & left their music as gifts for us all.
