Reading and Book Signing by David Bollier, author of "Think Like a Commoner: A Short Introduction to the Life of the Commons"

Thursday, May 1, 2014 - 7:00pm
Event Description:

In this age of predatory markets and make-believe democracy, troubled political institutions have lost sight of real people and practical realities, says David Bollier. But on the edges, ordinary people are reinventing governance and provisioning on their own terms as the commons. His book,"Think Like a Commoner," explains the rich history and promising future of the commons—an ageless paradigm of cooperation and fairness that is re-making our world. Bollier participated in the Mesa Refuge Residency Program in 1999. Light refreshments will be served. Co-sponsored by Point Reyes Books and the Mesa Refuge. The Mesa Refuge is located at 11 Los Reyes Drive in Point Reyes Station. The reading starts at 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 1, 2014.
