Public Health Updates 


COVID, Flu and RSV 

  • COVID cases are likely being underreported 

  • Waste Water shows some increase in COVID looks to be on the rise 

  • We expect to see more COVID circulation post-holidays and with new variants 

  • New Variants circulating 

  • Still learning more on these new variants 

  • Boosters still work well against these new variants 

  • Still recommended for everyone 

  • There are still many who have not received bivalent boosters in our community 

  • HHS is trying to work with more local healthcare providers on COVID shots the way flu is done  

  • Waste Water show flu diminishing but RSV trending up at the present time 

Preparing for Winter Storms 

  • Encourage staff to prepare for extended power outages 

  • Outreach to vulnerable populations 

  • Learn more about MCIL Powered and Prepared Program
