The Dance Palace Art Committee Presents: COVID CathARTic Event
November 6th & 7th

Please join us in a creative and supportive community gathering, as we continue to move forward into our new reality. We want to share poetry, music, and story-telling about the COVID-19 experience.

Interactive Learning Tree (Open for visits Saturday 11/6 & Sunday 11/7 from 10AM-3PM)

Poetry, Music & Story-Telling Show Saturday 11/6 at 1PM (socially-distanced, outdoors at the Dance Palace)
Subject to change depending on health & safety concerns

The Dance Palace is organizing this event for community members to share their discoveries with our entire community through the arts… poetry, music, and story-telling performance, a participative learning tree experience, and children’s art.

The Dance Palace Art Committee is calling West Marin Poets, Musicians & Story-Tellers to lend us your words!

What poems did you write?
What music did you compose?
What stories are you telling?

Share your COVID-19 experiences from your perspective:
• What we have experienced: losses and gains, difficulties we have faced, connections we have missed while adjusting our lives
• Coping mechanisms (such as art, humor, cooking, nature, exercise, dance, music, poetry, and beyond) and adaptations we made during this time
• Insights to take with us as we continue to move on
• “Silver-linings” we’ve discovered

The Dance Palace Art Committee will select poetry, music, and story-telling from submissions to be performed either in person or virtually to a Zoom audience. All approved submissions will be documented and available for viewing on the Dance Palace YouTube channel. Submissions are due by October 20 at 5PM.
