End Of Life Options - Elder Workshop on Zoom

Amena Hajjar • May 17, 2021

Learn about the California End of Life Option Act which authorizes medical aid in dying for terminally ill adults. This law went into effect in 2016; however, for many, the law is still complicated. Dr. Dennis Pocekay will outline the process a terminally ill person has to go through to access the law and what you can do to help ensure that medical aid in dying is available for you and your loved ones. We will also look at the Compassion & Choices COVID-19 Toolkit and how COVID-19 affects the End of Life Option Act.

This Zoom presentation will be led by Dr. Dennis Pocekay, a retired physician who specialized (at various times) in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Sports Medicine, Occupational & Environmental Medicine, and by local West Marin resident, Christina Goodwin, the California State Manager for Compassion & Choices.
