Forest Bathing walk this coming Sunday 8/14

Joey Heusler • August 8, 2022

I am guiding a forest bathing walk for the Point Reyes National Seashore Association this coming Sunday.

A Forest Bathing walk is a guided slow meander intended to allow for a deep and meaningful connection with the natural world. Through a series of carefully crafted gentle invitations participants are encouraged to slow down and experience and engage with the natural world through their senses. Forest therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku or forest bathing. Shinrin-Yoku can be loosely translated to “taking in the medicine of the forest.”

I am a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide with the Association for Nature and Forest Therapy guides and programs (ANFT).  My passion is to bring people of all ages into a place of stillness, where a connection with the natural world can be made from that deeper place.
