Another nation-wide demonstration is coming this Thursday, July 17th, honoring Congressman John Lewis's birthday and his lifetime of work defending our democracy. And remembering his constant admonition to us to live our lives getting into good trouble whenever we could. Therefore its no surprise that the theme of this demonstration is "Good Trouble Lives On." And there are several Marin options on that day for you to participate if you are so inclined.
- Indivisible West Marin's political action will be 3:15-4:45pm, their regular Thursday banner drop time, at the Highway 101 overpass in Corte Madera. For parking, they meet in the southern end of the Town Center parking lot, across from Flores Restaurant and take the pedestrian walkway across to the overpass. No word yet on any specific messaging for signage, so feel free to bring your own signs with messaging that reflects the issue(s) most important to you. For questions/more info or needing carpool info contact Maureen Cornelia at macornelia92@gmail.com.
- Pt Reyes Station: Cathleen Dorinson will be out with her signs from 4:30 to 6pm near the Wells Fargo Bank in Pt Reyes Station. Feel free to bring your own signs if you wish. For questions/more info contact Cathleen Dorinson at cdorinson@hotmail.com.
- Finally, for info on other demonstrations in Marin (Nov, SR, MV) and nationwide check out https://goodtroubleliveson.org/
Hope to see you at one of these events on Thursday, July 17th.
