GRO Artist Members Exhibition 2025: Inward Significance

Inward Significance is an exhibition of work by Artist Members and fellows; inspired by Aristotle’s quote:

“The aim of art is not to represent the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.”

As artists in these turbulent times, it seems important to bear witness to the world we live in, allow ourselves to be touched by the poetic, and the sublime beauty of being human.

If there is a common thread that ties the various works in this show together, it is the inward and outward realities unique to each artist made visible through their work. The work demonstrates a shared commitment to those unique and significant realities that inspire our creativity and shape our craft
