These 2 separate classes are designed for advanced beginner and intermediate Spanish speakers. A basic vocabulary of at least 100 words and a grasp of the fundamentals of basic verb tenses and sentence structure are recommended. 

Registration is required for each class individually. You do not need to register for both classes unless you would like to. 

Courses are led by Mark and Laura Alderdice and conducted mostly in Spanish with technical grammar instruction given in English. 

CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH AND SHORT STORIES
Instructor: Laura Alderdice
Tuesday evenings, 7:00 - 9:00pm. Class size is limited.
10 weeks, July 7 - September 15. No class August 18. 

Emphasis will be on conversation and literature with discussions in Spanish based on short stories and selected topics. A book of short stories will be selected and purchase will be required. The last 30-45 minutes of each session will be dedicated to learning and singing songs from the Latin American songbook. 

VOCABULARY BUILDING AND DIALOGS 
Instructor: Mark Alderice
Thursday evenings, 7:00 - 9:00pm. Class size is limited.
10 weeks, July 9 - September 17. No Class August 21.

Emphasis will be on Spanish grammar, syntax, vocabulary building and conversation. There will be homework. A text will be selected and purchase will be required.The last 30 to 45 minutes of each session will be dedicated to learning and singing songs from the Latin American songbook.
