Laurie Curtis offers “Watercolor Maiolica,” a pottery culmination of hand-built clay shapes and watercolor paintings sealed in glaze. She uses traditional Maiolica materials and paints in watercolor style. Her work is layers of translucent colors applied with delicate brushstrokes. She studied textile design and fine art in college and later found her way to pottery. Curtis also has functional pottery out of black and porcelain clay. This show features a selection of recent works on paper and pottery.
