Parent Workshop: Talking to Kids About Race and Racism
February 8 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
On Wednesday, February 8th at 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. there will be the first of two free virtual interactive workshops for parents and caregivers titled: Talking with Kids about Race and Racism.
These workshops are designed to support parents and caregivers of children pre-K through 8th grade, who are interested in racially conscious caregiving, and will provide strategies for having conversations with children about race. Attendees should come prepared to engage in discussions about race and racism and will come away feeling empowered to break the silence and plant seeds of change and progress. The workshops are free but registration for the February workshop and the second workshop on March 28th is required. Register here for information about joining the meeting.
